The Orthoptics Australia (VIC Branch) Optimed July Scientific Meeting 2010 will be held on Saturday 24th July at Balgownie Estate in the Yarra Valley. In response to member feedback, this year, we will go back to strabismus - well, at least partly, no synoptophore!
Two excellent strabismus clinicians from Sydney, Dr Ross Fitzsimmons and Kristen Saba, will present an educational and interactive (though non-confronting!) workshop: Strabismus for the Orthoptist in Ophthalmic Practice. This workshop will contain cases, is designed as a refresher and is the confidence booster you've long been waiting for. Local "strabismic identities" will complement Ross and Kristen, who have conducted a series of these sessions for our Sydney colleagues.
We will have some general ophthalmic content too, for no-one should not have a good excuse to get away from their usual Saturday chores and join colleagues for a day out and enjoy a glass or two of their favourite vino! If you heard the last JSM was good, this will be better!

(Parking is available at Albert Street Eye and Ear Carpark for $6 all day on a Saturday (NB Car park closes at 7pm).

Leaving Yarra Vallet at 4:15pm to return to East Melbourne by 5:30pm.
