Getting there
The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre has two entrances, one on Grey Street and our main entrance on the corner of Merivale & Glenelg Streets.
Parking
BCEC provides undercover parking for up to 1500 vehicles. The car park has direct lift access to the Centre’s multiple convention floors and exhibition facilities. See car parking rates and availability here.
Taxis
A dedicated taxi rank is located at the main entrance of the Centre on the Cnr Merivale and Glenelg Streets. Taxis are also accessible in other locations in the South Bank precinct including the 2 hotels – Rydges and Mantra.
Public transport
A comprehensive network of trains, buses and city cats (ferries) link the Centre with Brisbane city and suburbs. Translink tickets are the best way to visit and travel around the city. The Translink website contains more details.
By train: The closest train station is South Brisbane; only a few minutes walk away. A regular Air Train service operates between Brisbane’s international and domestic airports. Travelling time is approximately 25mins. Tickets are available from the Information Desk.
By bus: The Cultural Centre is the main hub for most bus routes, only a few minutes walk away adjacent to the Queensland Performing Acts Centre. A Free Loop downtown bus service circles Brisbane’s Central Business District only.
By river cat: The CityCat Ferry stops at Southbank Terminal 2 which is located on the Clem Jones Promenade. CityCats run daily from 5.30am-10.30pm.

Held at the conclusion of the first day of Conference sessions, the Welcome Reception is the perfect opportunity to reacquaint with colleagues and make new connections.
This event is included in a full registration (excluding student registrations). Additional tickets for guests or for delegates with a single day registration can be purchased for $65 per person.

The Conference Dinner is always a highly anticipated event and is set to be a highlight of the 77th Orthoptics Australia Annual Conference.
This event is included in a full registration (excluding student registrations). Additional tickets for guests or for delegates with a single day registration can be purchased for $145 per person.
