SeeWay - a new initiative of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT

About SeeWay

SeeWay is a new initiative of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.

SeeWay is a free resource designed to address the unmet need of people with moderate low vision. SeeWay is designed to support Australians from diagnosis through to when they may seek one-to-one support from Allied Health Practitioners such as occupational therapists or orientation and mobility specialists – this group of patients often falls through the gaps, as they do not qualify for traditional funding such as NDIS or My Aged Care funding and services for people who have severe low vision/blindness.

By addressing this unmet need SeeWay provides essential resources, guidance, and support, complementary to the clinical expertise and treatment already provided by orthoptists around Australia. Our digital platform, seeway.com.au, is more than just a website. It is a one-stop shop for patients to gain information about their options in the future and a gateway to receiving holistic care and support for their entire low vision journey, including practical and lifestyle advice and connection.

As a free and comprehensive online tool, SeeWay is a great resource for Australian orthoptists to be able to offer their patients, giving them support in the clinic and at home.

SeeWay.com.au is the home of SeeWay and reaches all Australians nationwide.  SeeWay is available to individuals with any low vision diagnosis, though it is particularly beneficial for those with a visual acuity of 6/12 or lower.
