Dr. Dai is a Fellow of the Royal Australia & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, Member of American Academy of Ophthalmology, Member of American Association of Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus 

Dr Dai is the Director of Ophthalmology, Queensland Children’s Hospital. He is the council member of Asia-Pacific Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthalmology Society,President of the Royal Australia & New Zealand Strabismus Society & he was the past chair of New Zealand Paediatric Ophthalmology Interest Group. Dr Dai is an associate professor of Ophthalmology UQ. He is the section editor for paediatric ophthalmology & strabismus for the Journal of Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology.

Dr Dai is specialized in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus and is well known for his expertise in Paediatric neurophthalmology, paediatric low vision and ROP telemedicine. He is actively involved in government health policy development in paediatric eye care among various health professionals, as well as in clinical education and research.

He has trained many local and international fellows from UK, Canada, USA, Israel & the Asia Pacific regions in paediatric ophthalmology & adult strabismus.

Dr Dai’s research interests include Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), ROP telemedicine & pediatric neurophthalmology, low vision & strabismus surgery. He authored over 100 peer reviewed publications and presented at over 80 major conferences internationally & nationally as keynote speaker, invited speaker & speaker.
