The Orthoptic Continuing Education Series (OCES) is an OA Victorian Branch initiative which features invited speakers from various Victorian clinics to present on key areas of orthoptics. Due to COVID-19, the OCES is being presented virtually.
On Thursday 10 December 2020, Dr Shivanand Sheth will we presenting live on Paediatric Cortical Vision Impairment.
Dr Shivanand Sheth is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the management of strabismus in patients of all ages. He also has a special interest in neuro-ophthalmology. He graduated from Medicine at Mumbai, India in 2007 and completed his ophthalmology training from BYL Nair Charitable Hospital and Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai after which he undertook further advanced training/ fellowships in paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology in India, USA and Australia. Dr. Sheth regularly presents at ophthalmology conferences around the world and has been published in international ophthalmology journals. He is also the recipient of the International Scholar Award and International Ophthalmologist Education Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the McCartney Prize by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London, UK. He was awarded the fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) in 2016. Dr Sheth is a paediatric ophthalmologist at The Royal Children’s Hospital. He also has appointments to the Ocular Motility Clinic (squint) and Neuro-ophthalmology clinic at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. He is involved in teaching, clinical and surgical training of ophthalmology registrars and fellows, along with mentoring medical students. His expertise covers most aspects of paediatric ophthalmology, along with strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology in patients of all ages.
There will be an opportunity to ask the speaker your questions at the end of the presentation and it will also be recorded.
